Historical home of the Cathars and their many ruined castles and sites, the area is within easy reach of Pyrenees and Mediteranean as well as culturally rich cities of Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne.

The villa borders the purpose-built 'Voie Verte' cycle way linking mountains with the Canal du Midi.

About Us
Our Journey
Having been born in the UK and later spent many years living in France, I love the culture way of life, not to mention the gastronomy and the wine. I also have a passion for cycling and love to share my knowledge with others and allow them to discover all the local possibilities.
Based in Bellegarde-du-Razès in the heart of the Languedoc region of France, the Maison Barthélemy is also my home where I enjoy hosting visitors, either for a bed and breakfast room or as part of an all inclusive cycle tour.
I am also the owner of cyclo-culture.com where you can book cycling and cultural holidays here and in other parts of Europe.

What you need to know

We are located midway between the towns of Limoux and Mirepoix, 35 minutes from Carcassonne airport and within 1 hour 15 minutes of Toulouse airport.
If you are arriving by car on the autoroute, take the exit for Bram and follow indications to Bellegarde-du-Razès, which is about 20 minutes’ drive from the intersection.
Go here to see the booking options, whether it is a room, the whole villa or a cycle tour.
On site there are the following facilities:
- 5 double or twin bedrooms, 3 with en-suite bathroom.
- 5x10m outdoor swimming pool and loungers
- Patio and garden furniture.
- Fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining areas with TV and music facilities.
- Large grounds and garden planted with flowering shrubs and trees
- Separate self contained ‘gite’ for two with kitchen/diner/bedroom and own covered patio.
- Unfortunately we can’t accept pets
- Bikes and e-bikes available for rent at the property
- Local post office,
- Nearest shops, pharmacie, butcher, boulangerie, doctors, dentists, hairdresser at Belveze 6km away.
